Lila means play in general meaning. Krishna lila is krishna's act in his childhood.   Krishna is lila-puroshotam. He does his lila, just to give happiness to people around him.  The whole life is his Lila only - His play, his mischief, with not only human, but all the lives, by immersing them in happiness and sorrows of every day life.
